St George’s Hall | Liverpool Wedding Photography | Lyndsey & Tom
Lyndsey and Tom were married in the Sefton Room of the Liverpool Register Office at St George's Hall. This was a micro wedding with a handful of guests during lockdown.
We started off in Lyndsey and Toms house while she was getting ready. Just the bride, her dad, the Hair Stylist, and Dorothy, the cat. A hundred yards up the same street, Tom was getting ready with mum and her partner, his uncle and his grandmother. Despite the spit of rain threatening to turn to a downpour, we got a few shots of the groom's party in their lovely garden with a backdrop of cherry blossom in full bloom.
When we got to St George's Hall there wasn't a cloud in the sky and a May Day midday sun beating down – my photos and wool waistcoat needed to stick to the shadows!
After a few candids of the waiting guests, I headed into the Rose Room of St George's Hall where Lyndsey and her dad were waiting for me – more cherry blossoms!
The ceremony was short with a single reading from Tom's grandmother, and we headed out to the Registry Office entrance for the red carpet confetti throw and got to work photographing the couple with their family.
Lyndsey & Tom were on a tight schedule to head to their restaurant booking and only wanted photography coverage at the ceremony, but we managed to sneak a bit more time with just the bride and groom outside the majestic St George's Hall. Fifteen minutes of quiet where they could share the moment together while I got some great shots of their affection for each other, and captured the small details like the photo of Lyndsey's late mum wrapped around her bouquet.
In what could have been a stressful time pulling off a micro wedding during Covid, Lyndsey and Tom were relaxed and lovely to work with. Thank you both for having me document your special day. I wish you all the happiness in the world as Mr and Mrs Owens.
